London, 20 July 2008 - Tana Ramsay took a sip recently and rather liked it, as the video below shows (click on the arrow) - and we got a peek behind the scenes at Market Kitchen, the daily food magazine show. Hosted by top foodies like Tana, Matt Tebbutt, Sophie Grigson and Tom Parker Bowles, MK is filmed in a studio next to The F Word. Oddly though, when we were there we didn’t hear so much as a squeak from nextdoor, let alone a profanity.
London, 17 July - Urban Retreat held a star-studded event at Harvey Nichols in Manchester recently to celebrate its re-launch. Hosted by George Hammer and British Beauty Experts Daniel Sandler (makeup artist GOD), Leighton Denny and Vicky Ullah, it was attended by most of the cast from Corrie and Hollyoaks (Samia Smith, Jessica Fox, Claire Cooper ..) + MTV Living On The Edge girls Lucie Williams and Milly Worthington who were all asking for sip, we hear, because they were driving. Urban Beauty & Hair (0161 828 8856) is droolingly gorgeous - the kind of oasis us lot at sip HQ could while away a few hours in without too much trouble!

London, 12 June - when sip co-founder Kate Shapland did a stint on Cosmopolitan in the 1990’s the magazine was fixated with sex. Now it seems Cosmo has other things to tell its readers about: this week it held its own Beauty Awards at the Roof Gardens in Kensington. Judged by Alesha Dixon, TV presenter Emma Griffiths, makeup artists Daniel Sandler and Ruby Hammer, and hairstylist Andrew Barton - along with Cosmo’s editor and beauty editor, it voted L’Oreal Derma-Genesis SPF15 Day Cream best newcomer, YSL Touch Eclat best classic and Chanel Mat Lumiere best foundation.
